Footprints' itineraries are concentrated in the highlands of the Great Rift Valley, the progenitor of the solitary volcanic peaks, the escarpments and the expansive plains.
There is probably no other region in the world where the hot and dry of the desert, the floral richness of the rain forest and the stark cold of the Arctic are within a few driving or even walking hours of each other. <continued>

Albert's Favourite Hike

‘Albert’s Favourite Hike’ slideshow is named after a client who called the Tanzanian trek from the Empakai Crater to Lake Natron his favourite segment of a month-long trip. This is a three-day, largely downhill walk, in high country populated by the Masai tribe.

Along with the photos is a an extensive narrative of the trip which will allow you to pair images with a description.
